Constraint on ∆g(x) at Large X
We investigate the polarized gluon distribution ∆g(x) by a global analysis of current DIS data and the π 0 data from RHIC-Spin experiments. The π 0 data provide a strong constraint on ∆g(x), so that its uncertainty is reduced. Furthermore, new DIS data of COMPASS and HERMES play an important role in determining ∆g(x) at large x.
متن کاملWEAKLY g(x)-CLEAN RINGS
A ring $R$ with identity is called ``clean'' if $~$for every element $ain R$, there exist an idempotent $e$ and a unit $u$ in $R$ such that $a=u+e$. Let $C(R)$ denote the center of a ring $R$ and $g(x)$ be a polynomial in $C(R)[x]$. An element $rin R$ is called ``g(x)-clean'' if $r=u+s$ where $g(s)=0$ and $u$ is a unit of $R$ and, $R$ is $g(x)$-clean if every element is $g(x)$-clean. In this pa...
متن کاملThe Singlet Contribution to the Structure Function g 1 ( x , Q 2 ) at Small x
The resummation of O(α l+1 s ln 2l x) terms in the evolution equation of the singlet part of g 1 (x, Q 2) is carried out. The corresponding singlet evolution kernels are calculated explicitely. The leading small-x contribution to the three-loop splitting function matrix is determined in the MS scheme. Relations are derived for the case of N = 1 supersymmetric Yang–Mills field theory. Numerical ...
Community Flux Balance Analysis for Microbial Consortia at Balanced Growth
A central focus in studies of microbial communities is the elucidation of the relationships between genotype, phenotype, and dynamic community structure. Here, we present a new computational method called community flux balance analysis (cFBA) to study the metabolic behavior of microbial communities. cFBA integrates the comprehensive metabolic capacities of individual microorganisms in terms of...
